Creating an unforgettable reception is all about the small details, like your table setting! Here are a few things you can do to add some flair…
Create a Menu
A card on each table or place setting with a dinner menu, signature cocktails, and cute facts about the couple is a perfect way to keep guests informed and entertained. Just make sure the font matches your style of wedding.
Place Settings
If your reception venue is familiar with weddings, they probably have the plates and chargers you need, but do their table runners and napkins probably don’t match your colours. This is the perfect time express some style. Burlap and Packing paper for rustic table runners, antique lace for vintage-chique placemats, silver and gold napkins for Hollywood high-life… it’s your wedding, so dream big!
Centrepieces
When it comes to choosing a centre piece, you can’t go wrong with the classic “flowers and vases.” But why settle for a simple glass vase? Use your imagination and consider your theme and venue. Antique milk jugs, vintage candelabras, old mason jars, even fish bowls can add a memorable to twist to any centre piece.
Games or Entertainment
Help new acquaintances become friends with a game or two at every table! It’s also a great opportunity for couples who love boardgames share a few of their favourites with guests. It’s a great icebreaker and if kids are seated at the table, it helps keep the little ones busy too.
