Planning a wedding is a full time job, do you have the extra time to buy, assemble, and arrange your DIY project? Adding one more task onto a full schedule is extra stress you may not want 

Do I have the skill?

Sure, the Pinterest post you saw and Youtube videos you watched made it look easy, but is it? If you don’t have the skill to pull off your DIY project, you might end up with the latest DIY Fail.

What will it cost?

So you’ve got the time, you’ve got the skill, but is it in your budget? DIY projects need tools and supplies, and if you need to buy a LOT of either you’ll end up in red. Further, you may have saved money by trusting a wedding decorator to do the work for you. 

Who’s going to set it up?

Your DIY project is DONE! But wedding set-up has only begun. If you’re trusting your freshly crafted creation to family, wedding planners, or coordinators, you’ll need to prep them to do it for you.

What will I do with it afterwards?

The Champagne is popped, the cake is cut, and the gifts have been opened. Now your DIY project is taking up room in the corner of your house. Are you ready to toss your hard-work away, sell it online, or gift it to another wedding party? It’s one more box to tick off in your wedding to-do list when you’d rather enjoy newlywed bliss.

Don’t let this list discourage your from bringing your DIY wedding dreams to life! Just make sure you can handle the project you’re about to take on and always have a back-up plan.
